The Leofoto Mr O LO-224CS and SW-02 kit is built around the needs of birdwatchers and wildlife watchers using binoculars or a compact spotting scope. The four-section carbon fibre tripod has a built-in hollow ball at the top, so the centre column can tilt like a ball head as well as rise and fall. Combined with independent leg spread, that lets you level the head quickly on uneven ground without fiddling with each leg. The centre column is removable and reversible for low-angle use, a short centre column is supplied for ground-level work, and a central locking knob and ballast hook are fitted. Legs are 10-layer Toray carbon fibre (22/19/16/13mm) with 6061-T6 CNC-machined aluminium parts and three leg stop positions (23, 55 and 85 degrees). The kit is rated to 10kg. The SW-02 is a compact fluid pan-and-tilt head with 360-degree panning, a 90/75-degree tilt range, a side tension knob for adjusting friction and an Arca-Swiss style 70mm quick-release plate, and the head is rated to 4kg. It gives smooth, controlled tracking of birds and game through binoculars or a scope.
