The Leofoto Mr Q LQ-284C combines the compact, no-column stiffness of the Ranger series with the flexibility of a centre column, and here comes paired with the LH-30 low-profile ball head. Its Q-shaped central locking system lets you swap between the 7075 aluminium apex platform and the supplied centre column in seconds, so you can choose maximum stability or extra height as the situation demands. The four-section legs use Leofoto's third-generation 10-layer carbon fibre (28/25/22/19mm) with independent leg spread for levelling on rough ground. With the head fitted the kit reaches 1290mm without the column or 1580mm with it, goes down to 160mm, folds to 540mm and weighs 1.62kg, with a 10kg rating. A removable hook fits both the column and the platform, and 1/4in and 3/8in anti-twist accessory sockets take arms or phone holders. Rubber feet with aluminium cores come fitted, with stainless spikes included. The LH-30 has a 30mm ball and an Arca-Swiss style clamp, ready for a camera, binoculars adapter or compact spotting scope on an Arca-type plate. A tripod bag is included.
