The Leofoto NP-50 is a 50mm universal quick-release plate with an Arca-Swiss compatible dovetail, and is the plate Leofoto supplies with its NB-40 panning ball head (and in NB-34 kits). As a spare or replacement it is ideal for keeping a plate fitted to each camera or optic you use on those heads. Two features set it apart from a basic plate: a retractable backstop, and an adjustable anti-twist flange that can be brought up against the body of the device to stop it rotating on the plate. It measures 50mm long, 44mm wide and 10mm thick and weighs 38g. Because it is a standard Arca-Swiss fitting, it also works in any Arca-type clamp on other ball heads, gimbals, rails and levelling bases. For stalkers, shooters and wildlife watchers, fitting plates to a spotting scope, a binocular adapter, a thermal or a camera means you can swap them on one tripod head in seconds.
