The Leofoto Ranger LS-323C is a three-section, no-column carbon fibre tripod with big 32mm legs, built for people who want serious stiffness without a lot of weight. Leaving out the centre column puts the head directly on the apex, which cuts vibration and lets the legs splay right out for low work. The legs are 10-layer carbon fibre (32/28/25mm) with CNC-machined, hard-anodised 6061 aluminium parts and quarter-turn twist leg locks, and three angle stops with independent leg spread make it quick to set up level on rough ground. The LS-323C reaches 1520mm and is rated to 20kg, so it handles a heavy camera and telephoto lens, a large spotting scope or a thermal imager without fuss. With only three sections per leg it is fast to deploy and very rigid, at the cost of a slightly longer packed length than four or five-section models. There is a 3/8in mounting stud for your choice of head, 1/4in accessory sockets on the apex, a removable ballast hook, interchangeable feet and a carrying case. Supplied as legs only.
