The Leofoto Ranger LS-325C with LH-40 pairs a five-section, 32mm carbon fibre tripod with Leofoto's mid-size 40mm low-profile ball head. Five leg sections keep the folded length short for travel and rucksack carry, while the large top tube keeps it stiff once extended. The legs are 10-layer carbon fibre with three leg angle settings, and like the rest of the Ranger range it is a no-column design: the head sits directly on the apex for stability, with a separate removable centre column supplied when you need extra height. Without the column the kit covers 150mm to 1530mm, and it is rated to 12kg. The LH-40 head has a 40mm ball, a 57mm panning base, independent pan lock and an Arca-Swiss style clamp with QR plate, and the head alone is rated to 20kg. That makes this a capable all-round kit for a camera with a telephoto zoom, a spotting scope or a thermal imager on an Arca-type plate, whether you are stalking, watching wildlife or travelling. A built-in bubble level helps with quick levelling.
