The Leofoto SF-04 is a replacement for the foot supplied with the Sony FE 400-800mm F6.3-8 G OSS, designed to improve on the original. It takes the place of Sony's lens collar foot and offers a lower profile and lower centre of gravity, so the long zoom sits better balanced on a gimbal or ball head. The foot has a built-in Arca-Swiss dovetail, letting the lens mount straight into an Arca clamp without an extra plate, along with 3/8" and 1/4" threaded holes and a Quick Detach (QD) socket for a compatible strap. Two safety stops on the underside prevent accidental release when the receiving clamp is only partly open. It is made from hard-anodised aircraft-grade aluminium. With 800mm of reach, the 400-800mm is a natural choice for deer, raptors and wildfowl at distance, and a solid, low foot makes a real difference to stability when working from a hide or tripod. Please note this is a camera-lens accessory: it replaces the foot on the lenses listed and does not fit spotting scopes or binoculars.
