The Leofoto VH-20 is the larger of Leofoto's compact two-way monopod heads, sized for heavier telephoto lenses while staying small enough to live on a monopod full time. Separate knurled lock knobs control the plus or minus 90 degree front-to-back tilt and the 360 degree panning, and each movement has a numbered scale so you can repeat a set-up quickly. A panning clamp on top lets you swing the camera round independently of the monopod, and a bubble level helps keep the horizon straight on rough ground. The Arca-Swiss compatible clamp accepts standard Arca plates and lens feet, and the 3/8 inch threaded base fits monopods, tripods and any other support with a 3/8 inch stud. With a maximum load of 12kg and a weight of around 436g, it gives wildlife photographers, birders and stalkers a steady, quick-to-aim support for long glass without adding much to the pack. It is a good match for anyone who has outgrown a smaller head and wants firmer control of a heavier lens, whether waiting at a hide, working along a riverbank or following deer across open hill ground.
