The Leofoto YB-75MP is a bowl-type levelling base for tripods with a 75mm video bowl, letting you level the head quickly without adjusting individual legs. It drops into a 75mm bowl, levels through +/-15 degrees with the help of a bubble level and precision positioning scale, and is topped by a 3/8" stud for your head. Twisting the handle locks the base in place. Construction is lightweight aluminium. The MP is the medium-handle version, with an overall length of 115mm and a weight of 266g, a balance between reach under the tripod and compactness in the pack. Note that it is designed for 75mm bowls only and is not compatible with 100mm bowl tripods. A levelled bowl is the quickest way to keep a spotting scope or binoculars panning true across a hillside, and it suits fluid heads, gimbals and camera heads equally well, so long sessions watching deer, raptors or wildfowl need less constant correction.
