The Pixfra Mile 2 M425 is a compact handheld thermal imaging monocular built for night-time deer stalking, foxing and pest control. At its heart is a sensitive 384×288, 12μm sensor with <25mK NETD, paired with a fast 25mm f1.0 objective lens, giving a detection range of up to 1300m and a genuinely useful field of view for scanning open ground. Images are shown on a crisp 800×600, 0.32" OLED display, with a base magnification of 2.70x and 1x/2x/4x/8x digital zoom, across six colour palettes including white hot, black hot and iron red. Weighing just 320g and slimmer than earlier Mile 2 models, it slips easily into a pocket or pack and comes with a soft pouch, neck strap and wrist strap. Built-in Wi-Fi lets it pair with up to four smartphones or tablets via the free Pixfra app for shared live viewing, and it records video and stills to 16GB of built-in storage. An IP67 rating and an operating range of –30°C to +55°C keep it working through wet, cold or humid British field conditions, and the rechargeable lithium battery runs for up to 8 hours on a single charge via USB-C.
