Zan Projectiles developed this .25 slug range over hundreds of hours of testing, chasing accuracy, consistent expansion and compatibility with as many barrels as possible. The deep hollow point opens readily on quarry, while the shallow dished base helps the slug take the rifling cleanly — which is what makes the range workable across a wide spread of .25 barrels rather than a single favoured twist rate.
Nine weights are offered, from a light 26.5 grains through to 45 grains, so the range covers everything from moderate-power PCPs to high-power rifles pushing for distance. Ballistic coefficients run from 0.088 on the 26.5 grain up to 0.138 on the 45 grain. Most weights are supplied at a .250in (6.35mm) head diameter, with 33 grain and 38 grain also available at .253in for rifles with a slightly larger bore. Each box holds 200 slugs in a moulded tray, so they arrive undamaged and ready to shoot.
