The RCBS Powder Baffle is a simple but worthwhile upgrade for anyone metering charges on an RCBS Uniflow powder measure. It fits inside the hopper and sits above the metering drum, breaking up the weight of the powder column so the drum always fills under the same, steady pressure rather than a column that grows lighter as the hopper empties. The result is more consistent charge weights from the first throw to the last, which matters when you are loading for a deer rifle or working up an accurate stalking load where a grain or two makes a difference downrange. The baffle controls the gravity feed pressure on the metering unit and helps keep powder flowing evenly without bridging. This version is the standard Uniflow pattern, designed for all standard UPM 1, 2 and 3 measures and the older UPM Competition measure. It is quick to drop in, needs no tools and stays in place during normal use, so you can fit it once and forget about it. A small, inexpensive accessory that earns its keep on the loading bench.
