The Gehmann 592 Rearsight Spirit Level is a precision cant indicator for target rifles, mounting to the front of the rearsight's receiver (dovetail) rail. Because it sits directly under the sight line and is seen through the rearsight itself, checking the bubble takes only minimal eye movement away from the target - a real advantage across smallbore and other target-rifle disciplines where keeping the rifle level is critical to consistent scoring. Its position is set by micrometric adjustment, via a knurled wheel on the side of the base, so the level can be zeroed precisely to an individual shooter's rifle and stance. The bubble itself is a slower, curved type intended for considered reading, aligned between two reference marks rather than a fast-moving dot that's awkward to judge under pressure. The unit is easily detached from the rail for cleaning or storage, and at around 0.2kg it adds negligible weight to the rifle.
