Napier Power Airgun Grease is a specialist lubricant formulated specifically for air rifle mechanisms. The red grease contains Napier's VP90 corrosion-inhibiting compound and is designed primarily for main springs in spring-piston airguns, where it reduces vibration, twang and mechanical wear without attacking thrust washers or synthetic seals. It is equally suitable for metal-to-metal sliding surfaces, cocking mechanisms and other internal moving parts across spring, PCP and CO₂ airguns. Napier state that the grease has been part of the Air Arms master service kit for a number of years, and it is stocked as an accessory by Air Arms directly. The formula operates across a temperature range of −20°C to +120°C and meets the DIN 51807 water-resistance standard. Supplied in a 25ml tube that is straightforward to apply to spring coils and internal surfaces during routine servicing.
