The Arxus Pioneer is a classic-style wellington built from 100% natural rubber with no chemical additives, giving it a long working life and strong resistance to knocks and sharp ground. Arxus's construction method makes the boot fully waterproof before the sole is even assembled, and the rubber itself is a substantial 2.00mm thick for genuine protection underfoot and up the leg. Inside, a heavy-duty orange polycotton lining keeps things comfortable through a day's walking, while an adjustable side gusset – secured by a metal clamping buckle carrying its own two-year guarantee – lets you fine-tune the fit around the calf rather than settling for a standard leg width. The sole is built up in three technical layers, topped with Arxus's own X-pattern high-grip tread, for genuine stability on wet grass, mud and uneven ground. A removable, felt-lined EVA insole adds cushioning and an extra layer of insulation against cold ground underfoot.
