The Barnes TSX 6mm .243in 85gr is a solid copper Triple-Shock X (TSX) bullet head for handloaders working with .243 Winchester and other 6mm calibre rifles. Made from 100% copper with no lead core, it typically retains close to its full original weight on impact, unlike traditional jacketed bullets that shed material as they expand. On impact the nose opens into four sharp cutting petals that drive a wide wound channel through bone and tissue, and the design is aimed at reduced barrel fouling and consistent, repeatable accuracy. This 85 grain, hollow-point boat-tail projectile carries a G1 ballistic coefficient of 0.333, a sectional density of 0.206 and an overall length of 1.058in. Barnes suggests seating bullets around 0.050in off the lands as a starting point, with best accuracy typically found between 0.030in and 0.070in depending on the rifle.
