The H&N Slug HP Heavy Sampler is an assortment tin of soft-lead hollow-point airgun slugs in calibre .217 (5.51mm, .22 class), covering the heavier end of H&N's Slug HP weight range. Unlike traditional diabolo pellets, each slug has a bullet profile with a large-meplat hollow point and a special lubricant coating that reduces barrel friction and aids consistent chambering. The hollow point delivers maximum expansion and energy transfer on impact for quick, humane kills — making this sampler a practical choice for airgun hunters and long-range pest controllers running high-powered FAC-rated PCP rifles. The selection of heavier weight options lets you find the best load for your particular barrel without committing to a full tin of each weight. Every slug is visually inspected and hand packed. The sampler was developed and field-tested in collaboration with Air Hunter Gerhard, a recognised expert in airgun hunting and competitive shooting. Barrels with a shorter twist rate made specifically for slugs produce significantly better results.
