The SmartRest SRQRA converts a standard bolt-on light, camera or thermal mount into a tool-free quick-release system, so a spotlight, night-vision unit or thermal attachment can be swapped on and off a rest or remote handle in seconds instead of being unbolted every time. The kit is made from alloy and steel and includes a quick-release clamp and bracket, a 21mm dovetail Weaver/Picatinny rail with its own screws and nuts, and the assorted nuts, bolts and spanner tool needed to fit different equipment, including a 1/4" countersunk screw for thermal units. It clamps any 20–21mm Weaver rail, so while it's built primarily to suit SmartRest's own remote handles and Powabeam's RC210, RC220 and RC500 lamps, it will bolt to any hardware bracket or threaded mount of the same size. Once fitted, swapping between a spotlight and a thermal or camera attachment becomes a one-handed job, which is handy for anyone running more than one optic off the same rest for lamping, search and rescue or security use.
