The Viper-Flex Minor 3 is a short, self-standing carbon fibre tripod built for steady prone shooting. Unlike a two-legged rest, it stands on its own, so the shooter can lean gently forward into it for extra stability — how much depends on the friction between the rifle's fore-end and the tripod itself. It suits hunters who want the support a set of legs gives without the extra weight on the rifle or the imbalance a forend-mounted bipod can cause. Each of the three telescopic carbon fibre legs adjusts from 27.5cm to 36.5cm to match the ground and shooting position, and rubber feet grip on both hard and soft surfaces. At 220g it's light enough to carry in a jacket pocket or clip to a binocular harness rather than bolt to the rifle. The Minor 3 is supplied complete with the Single Leg Minor — the same carbon fibre third leg that turns the two-legged Minor 2 into a self-standing tripod — so anyone buying the Minor 3 already has everything needed for prone support in the box.
