The Vortex Pro Binocular Adapter is a two-part mounting system that lets you attach a pair of binoculars to a tripod, monopod or window mount for a steadier, hands-free view. One part is a stud that fits the standard 1/4"-20 tripod socket built into most tripod-adaptable binoculars; the other clips onto any tripod head or quick-release plate carrying a matching 1/4"-20 thread. Together they click into a fast, secure connection, so the binoculars can be locked onto a support in seconds and released again just as quickly when it's time to move on. It's a straightforward way to eliminate hand-shake and hold a steady image through extended glassing sessions - scanning a hillside for deer, watching a wood edge at last light, or picking through distant cover for movement.
