The Vortex Vanquish 10x26 is a compact reverse porro prism binocular built for grab-and-go convenience rather than dedicated low-light stalking. Reverse porro construction turns the classic porro layout inside out — eyepieces spaced wider than the objective lenses — for a genuinely pocketable body that still uses good-quality glass and fully multi-coated optics throughout. At 10x magnification with a 26mm objective it gives a 5.6° angular field of view (294ft at 1000 yards) for quick scanning, but the resulting 2.6mm exit pupil is small, so this is a daylight binocular rather than one for dawn or dusk glassing — an honest trade-off for the size and weight. At just 12.7oz (360g) it disappears into a daypack or jacket pocket, with 16mm of eye relief and a 57-71mm interpupillary range. The body is rubber-armoured, nitrogen-purged, and rated waterproof, fogproof and shockproof, and covered by Vortex's unlimited lifetime VIP warranty. Close focus is a useful 7.6ft, better suited to closer subjects than the larger Raptor range. Supplied with a rainguard eyepiece cover, comfort neck strap, carry case and lens cloth.
