The Vortex Defender-CCW is a compact 1x reflex sight designed for concealed-carry and everyday-carry handguns, built to sit low and discreet on a pistol slide without adding bulk. This version carries a 6 MOA dot — a slightly larger aiming point than the 3 MOA option, suited to fast target acquisition at typical self-defence and range distances. A hard-coated aspherical lens delivers a large, distortion-free, virtually parallax-free sight picture, while ten brightness settings (eight for daylight use, two night-vision compatible) keep the dot visible in any light, with motion activation and an automatic shut-off to save battery life. The single-piece 7075 aluminium chassis carries a ShockShield polymer insert to absorb impact, plus a low-glare matte black anodised finish, and the sight is fully waterproof, fogproof and shockproof for reliable everyday use. It uses the Shield RMSc mounting footprint, fitting a wide range of pistol slides already cut for that pattern, and the top-loading CR1632 battery tray means changes don't disturb your zero.
