The Vortex Defender-ST 3 MOA Micro Red Dot Sight is a compact, rugged optic built for handguns, shotguns and pistol-calibre carbines, equally at home as a duty sight, a competition optic or an offset sight on a carbine. It uses the widely-adopted DeltaPoint Pro mounting footprint, so it drops straight onto existing DeltaPoint Pro-cut slides and mounts, and ships with a Picatinny mount and a Glock MOS plate for wider compatibility. The crisp 3 MOA red dot suits precise aiming at speed, and twelve brightness settings — ten daylight-bright plus two night-vision-compatible — keep the dot visible from bright sun to low light. Motion activation switches the sight on the moment it is picked up and shuts it down automatically after ten minutes of inactivity to save the battery, while a top-loading CR2032 gives a rated 25,000-hour run time and can be swapped without disturbing zero. The single-piece 7075 aluminium chassis carries a ShockShield polymer insert and aggressive Fast-Rack texturing for one-handed slide racking, and the whole unit is waterproof, fogproof and shockproof, built for hard daily use.
