The Vortex Diamondback HD 20-60x85 Straight is a variable-magnification spotting scope built for hunters and long-range shooters who need to resolve fine detail at real distance. Its large 85mm objective lens gathers plenty of light, while the HD optical system — extra-low dispersion glass elements paired with fully multi-coated lens surfaces — delivers sharp, high-contrast, true-to-colour images across the full 20-60x zoom range, even into failing light. This version uses a straight body, with the eyepiece set in line with the housing, so you can scan wide ground quickly and keep tracking a moving subject before dialling in for a positive identification. A helical focus wheel replaces the usual snag-prone knob for a cleaner, faster-handling profile, and the mounting collar rotates in 45° increments so the eyepiece can be set at a comfortable angle on a tripod. The chassis is argon-purged and O-ring sealed against water and internal fogging, and ArmorTek coating protects the exterior lenses from scratches, oil and dirt. Field of view runs from 108ft at 1000 yards on 20x down to 60ft at 60x, with close focus to 24.6ft.
