The Vortex KILLflash ARD is a threaded anti-reflection device for Vortex StrikeFire red dot sights with a threaded objective lens barrel — it is an accessory, not a sight, and does not include the StrikeFire itself. Its honeycomb mesh face breaks up and absorbs light that would otherwise bounce off the objective lens, cutting the tell-tale glint that can give away a shooter's position in bright conditions — a genuine concern on the hill or in a hide, not just a tactical gimmick. Fitting is straightforward: flip up the StrikeFire's own lens cap and screw the ARD into the exposed thread, where it doubles as a lens cover, keeping the glass free of scratches and knocks between outings. It has no effect on the red dot's reticle brightness or field of view, so sighting-in and zero are unaffected.
