The Vortex Radian Ball Head is an Arca-type compatible tripod head built to give stalkers, wildfowlers and photographers a rock-solid mounting point for spotting scopes, rifles and cameras. Independent pan and tilt locks work alongside a dedicated tension control, so gear can be positioned smoothly and then locked down without creeping once released. An integrated bubble level makes it quick to get level in the field, while 45 degrees of tilt, with indicator notches running through to 90 degrees, covers everything from a level glassing position to a steep downward angle. Rated to a 55lb (24.9kg) load capacity and weighing 2.2lb (998g) itself, the head is supplied with a 1/4-20 quick-release plate for fast mounting, though gear with its own Arca-type foot can be dropped straight onto the head without it. A counterweight hook on the underside lets you hang a pack or sandbag from the tripod for extra stability in windy conditions. It is designed to pair with Vortex's Radian carbon fibre tripod in place of the standard levelling head, giving an existing Radian setup extra payload capacity and finer control.
