The Vortex Razor HD 27-60x85 Angled is the flagship of Vortex's spotting scope range, built for deer stalkers, long-range shooters and wildlife watchers who need to resolve fine detail at real distance. A triplet apochromatic lens made from high-density, extra-low dispersion glass, combined with XRPlus fully multi-coated optics and dielectric-coated Porro prisms, delivers bright, high-contrast, colour-accurate images with minimal chromatic aberration. The 27-60x zoom on an 85mm objective gives a linear field of view of 117ft at 27x narrowing to 68ft at 60x (both at 1000 yards), with close focus down to 4.9m and eye relief of 17mm to 16.7mm for comfortable use with or without spectacles. The 45-degree angled body keeps the mounting height low for extra stability in wind and allows relaxed, extended glassing from a seated, kneeling or prone position - useful when watching a hill for hours at a time. A rubber-armoured, die-cast magnesium alloy chassis is argon-purged and O-ring sealed for full waterproofing and fogproofing, and ArmorTek-coated exterior lenses resist scratches, oil and dirt in the field. The tripod foot mounts directly to Arca-Swiss heads with no extra plate required, and the scope ships with objective and eyepiece caps plus a view-through carry case.
