The Vortex SPARC Solar is a tactical red dot sight that draws its power from daylight itself, combining a solar cell with a back-up CR2032 battery through Vortex's Auto D-TEC technology, which switches seamlessly between the two so the sight is always ready. Vortex rates the combined solar and battery runtime at up to 150,000 hours, far beyond anything a standalone battery red dot can offer. The 2 MOA dot is bright and precise enough for fast target acquisition at close range while staying fine enough for accurate work further out, and it offers ten daylight-bright illumination settings plus two settings compatible with night-vision devices. Motion activation switches the sight on automatically, and a 10-minute auto shut-off preserves power when it's not in use. The single-piece, matte black anodised chassis is nitrogen purged and O-ring sealed for waterproof, fogproof and shockproof performance, and the sight comes complete with both a lower 1/3 co-witness Picatinny mount and a low Picatinny mount, giving flexibility across AR platforms.
