The Akah Loden Roesack in green/grey is a traditional stalking rucksack made from double-face loden cloth (600g/m²) rather than canvas, giving it a heavier, warmer feel that many stalkers prefer in cold weather. The loden is Teflon-impregnated for water resistance and, like Akah's canvas version, closes and carries in complete silence, with no metal fastenings to give your position away on the approach. A large cover lid with pocket trimming sits over the main body, with two small pockets for odds and ends, and the edging, cord and straps are all genuine buffalo leather. It follows the same pattern as Akah's classic "Roesack" game carriers — built to take a day's kit out to the hide and a roe deer back afterwards. At 20 litres and around 770g it's a touch smaller and lighter than the canvas version, sized at 55 x 45cm. Akah has been supplying German and Austrian hunters with field equipment for well over a century, and this pack follows that same traditional pattern in a warmer loden cloth.
