The Big Cheese Ultra Power Live Multi-Catch Rat Trap is a self-setting, humane cage trap for controlling rat infestations in gardens, farms and commercial premises. It arrives fully assembled and ready to use, and once baited and in position its self-setting mechanism allows it to trap up to five rats in a single sitting, resetting itself after each catch without needing to be reset by hand. The body is built from durable, machine-finished galvanised mesh with no sharp edges, and it is suitable for use indoors or outdoors. A protective hand plate allows captured rats to be handled and transported securely, and the design is safe to use in areas where pets and other wildlife are present, since only a rat drawn in by the bait can trigger it. For best results, bait with The Big Cheese Mouse and Rat Attractant (STV163, sold separately). As with any live-catch trap, check it regularly — at least once every 24 hours — and release any catch promptly, in line with standard UK trapping welfare practice.
