The DOC 250 is a New Zealand-designed kill trap for larger pest species, the biggest and most powerful trap in the DOC series alongside the DOC 150 and 200. It is fitted with a high-impact CMI Springs mechanism and has passed New Zealand's NAWAC humane-kill guidelines. In the UK it is approved under the Spring Traps Approval Orders for use against stoats, weasels, rats, mink and grey squirrels when set correctly inside a closed-end wooden tunnel box - the tunnel is what keeps pets, poultry and non-target wildlife away from the trigger, and DIY tunnel plans are widely available for anyone building their own. The trap body combines galvanised steel with durable composite parts, built to stand up to a working trap line rather than occasional use.
