The H&N Excite Spike is a pointed .22 (5.5mm) airgun pellet built for flat trajectories and hard-hitting performance at sporting ranges. Each pellet weighs 15.74 grains, putting it in the medium-weight class that suits .22 air rifles and CO2 pistols alike, and the sharp spike head is designed to drive penetration into small quarry. A ribbed skirt helps the pellet grip the rifling and seat consistently, while the copper coating cuts lead fouling in the barrel and adds a little durability to the surface. The aerodynamic pointed profile keeps the trajectory flat over medium distances, which makes the Excite Spike a sensible choice for plinking, hobby shooting and lighter pest control where a pointed head is preferred. Supplied in a resealable tin of 200, it is part of H&N's value-focused Excite line from the long-established German maker Haendler & Natermann. As with any pellet, it pays to test a tin through your own rifle to confirm how it groups before committing to it for serious work.
