Hi-Tec's Rainier is a men's waterproof hiking boot from the brand's All Weather Wear (AWW) range, built for regular walking and general outdoor use in wet British conditions rather than technical mountaineering. The lightweight synthetic upper carries a PU overlay for structure and support, with toe and heel overlays that resist scuffing and a protective rand that shields the lower boot from knocks on the trail. Inside, a Dri-Tec waterproof and breathable membrane keeps feet dry while letting moisture escape, and a soft padded collar gives a secure, comfortable fit around the ankle. Underfoot, a lightweight compression-moulded EVA midsole cushions every step, and a nylon forked shank adds torsional rigidity without extra weight. The boot runs on Hi-Tec's carbon rubber MDT outsole, cut with deep lugs designed to grip on both the climb and the descent across mixed terrain, from muddy paths to loose stone.
