Seems solid, but you need tools

As you might expect, the tripod comes in pieces and you have to assemble it.

This task requires some basic tools - you will need, at minimum, a pair of pliers and a selection of spanners.

Annoyingly, one bolt seemed to be malformed or out-of-spec and could not be used - I had to go to the DIY store for replacements.

The rig can be taken apart for storage, but even the bits are bulky, so give thought to where you will store it before making your purchase.

I have not yet had a chance to use this rig, but it certainly seems solid - definitely more than adequate for muntjac, roe and CWD.
