Hornady Varmint .224 55gr SP Bullets 100 (2265)
990817
These are Hornady Varmint .224" 55-grain Spire Point bullet heads, sold as component projectiles for reloading .22 calibre centrefire cartridges such as the .223 Remington and .22-250 — not loaded ammunition. Part of Hornady's traditional Varmint range, each bullet pairs a lead core with a match-grade copper jacket, the original standard Joyce Hornady built his reputation on. The spire point profile and flat base give a streamlined, flat-shooting bullet that holds accuracy across the ranges typical of varmint and vermin work, while delivering rapid, explosive expansion even when velocities drop off at distance. With a G1 ballistic coefficient of 0.235 and a sectional density of 0.157, it is a well-balanced 55-grain head for fox, rabbit and corvid control as well as paper targets and load development. Reloaders value the consistency of the AMP jacket for repeatable groups once a load is worked up. Supplied as 100 bullets per box. These are bullet heads only — no powder, primers or cases are included — and a firearms certificate is required to purchase.
