These are Hornady's 6mm .243 58gr V-MAX projectiles, component bullets for handloaders rather than loaded ammunition, supplied 100 to the box. Sized at .243in diameter for 6mm and .243 calibre rifles, the 58-grain V-MAX is built for varmint and vermin work, where flat trajectories and rapid, frangible expansion matter. The sharp polymer tip sits over a hollow cavity and drives back into a swaged lead core on impact, giving the violent fragmentation the V-MAX is known for, even at lower terminal velocities. A concentric, match-grade AMP jacket keeps the bullet running true for consistent accuracy out to range, while the pointed tip and streamlined profile lift the ballistic coefficient for a flatter flight and less wind drift. As a reloading component, these heads let you tune a load to your own rifle and cartridge, whether you are working up an accurate .243 Winchester varmint round or a fast 6mm wildcat. You will need your own cases, primers and propellant to complete the load. Supplied as bullet heads only.
