These Hornady InterLock BTSP heads are component bullets for handloading, not loaded ammunition, so you will need a current firearms certificate covering the calibre you reload. Measuring .243in (6mm) and weighing 100 grains, they sit in Hornady's traditional InterLock line and are a long-standing choice for those building their own .243 Winchester or 6mm deer and varmint loads. The boat-tail soft point shape pairs an exposed lead tip for reliable, controlled expansion with a secant ogive profile that cuts drag for flatter trajectories and steady accuracy at range. Inside the jacket, the InterLock ring is embedded in the lead core to hold the core and jacket together through expansion, retaining mass and energy for deep penetration and consistent wound channels. A tapered jacket and inner grooves manage expansion across a spread of velocities, while the cannelure gives a positive crimp. At 100 grains, this is a sensible weight for roe and other medium game as well as fox and varmint work where flat shooting matters. Supplied in a box of 100 bullets.
