Hornady 22 Cal .224 60gr SP Varmint Bullets (100)
990924
These are Hornady's traditional Varmint component bullets for handloading the .22 calibre centrefire family of cartridges, supplied as projectiles only rather than loaded ammunition. Each .224" bullet weighs 60 grains and uses a soft point (spire point) profile built on a lead core inside a match-grade copper jacket, the original standard Joyce Hornady developed for classic varmint work. The streamlined shape gives a flat trajectory for confident hold-over at range, while the design delivers rapid, explosive expansion even at the lower velocities thrown by slower-twist .22 rifles. That makes them a sound choice for foxing, rabbiting and general small-game and vermin control where a clean, decisive result matters. Reloaders feeding cartridges such as the .222 Remington, .223 Remington or .22-250 will find them consistent enough for accurate group work at the bench and out in the field. Supplied 100 bullets per box (Hornady item 2270). You will need your own cases, primers and powder to complete the load; always work up against published load data.
