Hull's Superfast is the fast, clean-shooting 12 bore cartridge built for competition-style clay shooting and general field use, and this 65mm-case 24g loading trades a little shot weight for extra speed and easier handling. It's fitted with a fibre wad, which transfers energy from the propellant to the shot column without deforming it while sealing the bore against hot gases — useful on tighter-choked or overbored barrels, and a sensible choice on grounds or shoots that prefer a biodegradable wad. The load is built around No.7.5 shot at 24g, giving a dense pattern well suited to fast crossers, doubles and general rough shooting, with muzzle velocities of around 1500fps keeping trajectories flat. Hull uses a single-based propellant engineered for a consistent burn and pressure curve, loaded with the brand's own CX primers for reliable ignition, and the reduced 24g charge keeps recoil noticeably softer than the heavier 27g Superfast option, making it comfortable through a full day's shooting and functional in semi-automatic actions.
