Hull's High Pheasant is a dedicated .410 bore magnum cartridge, built to give a genuinely capable load in a bore best known for its modest recoil. Each 76mm (3") magnum case carries an 18 gram shot load in size 6, driven out at 1400fps on a traditional biodegradable fibre wad rather than plastic. That's a proper magnum payload for the .410, aimed at all-round sporting quarry — grouse, partridge, pheasant and pigeon — rather than the lighter loads the bore is often limited to, making it a sensible choice for anyone shooting a .410 who wants genuine performance on driven or walked-up days without stepping up to a 20 or 12 bore. It suits younger or smaller-framed Guns moving up from a starter gun, and experienced .410 shooters who want a serious load rather than a novelty one.
