Knivegg's Brown Micarta Handle is a solid handle blank for knife makers, supplied pre-drilled with the finger grips already moulded in, ready to fit and shape onto a knife tang. It measures up to 93mm long, 25mm wide and 35mm deep, giving enough material to profile down to the exact contour wanted while keeping the finger-grip positions Knivegg has already set out. Micarta is a canvas- or linen-reinforced phenolic laminate — tough, dimensionally stable and unaffected by water, blood or cold, and it grips better rather than worse when wet, which is exactly why knife makers reach for it on hunting, stalking and gralloching knives that get hard, wet use. Unlike a wooden handle it won't swell, shrink or crack with repeated soaking and drying, and the brown colourway gives a traditional, understated finish suited to a working knife rather than a display piece. A genuine Knivegg component, supplied by BushWear for anyone building or re-handling a knife.
