Knivegg's Green Micarta Handle in the rounded profile is a solid handle blank for knife makers, shaped with a rounded, oval-section outline rather than the flatter finger-grip profile of Knivegg's other Micarta blanks. It measures up to 93mm long, 30mm wide and 35mm deep — a touch wider in the hand than the finger-grip version — giving plenty of material to drill, fit and profile down to the exact shape wanted. Micarta is a canvas- or linen-reinforced phenolic laminate — tough, dimensionally stable and unaffected by water, blood or cold, and it grips better rather than worse when wet, which is why knife makers reach for it on hunting, stalking and gralloching knives that see hard, wet use. Unlike a wooden handle it won't swell, shrink or crack with repeated soaking and drying, and the green colourway gives a distinctive, practical finish.
