This red Micarta handle block from Knivegg is a knife-making component, not a finished knife — a solid blank for makers building or restoring a fixed-blade knife. Micarta is a resin-impregnated layered composite, valued by knifemakers for its durability, water resistance and secure grip even when hands are wet or gloved, and it takes a good polish once shaped. This block is pre-shaped with a finger-grip profile, so the contours for each finger are already roughed in rather than left flat, giving a head start on a comfortable, non-slip handle before final shaping and fitting, and it is pre-drilled ready for pinning once fitted to the tang.
