The Leofoto MP-284C is a four-section carbon fibre monopod built to steady heavy glass in the field — spotting scopes, long camera lenses or a rifle rested on a bipod-style support when time or terrain rules out a full tripod. Made from cross-woven, reinforced carbon fibre, it extends to 1650mm and folds down to a compact 523mm, weighing just 414g so it earns its place on a long stalk or a day on the hill. The legs run from 28mm down to 19mm in diameter across four twist-lock sections, giving a stiff, stable platform without the bulk of a tripod. A convertible 1/4in and 3/8in screw on the tripod plate takes most cameras and ball heads directly, including Leofoto's own VH-10, and the load rating of 18kg covers the majority of long-lens and optics setups. The shock-absorbing rubber foot grips confidently on hard ground and can be swapped for a stainless steel spike (sold separately) when working on soft or uneven terrain. A metal bracket and wrist strap add security against drops, and the monopod comes complete with a carrying bag, hex key and multitool.
