The Mechanix Wear T/S Breacher is a flame-resistant tactical glove from the Tactical Specialty range, built to protect the hands during forcible entry and other high-risk operations. A one-piece knuckle guard, moulded from dense thermoplastic rubber and shaped to the natural curve of the hand, absorbs blunt-force impact and abrasion to the back of the hand, with matching thermoplastic finger guards giving the same protection along the fingers. The palm is 0.6mm flame-resistant goatskin leather with a D3O impact-absorbing pad built in to reduce hand fatigue, finished suede-side-out for extra grip and infused with touchscreen-capable technology so a phone or device can be used without removing the glove. The back of the hand carries mil-spec flame-resistant Nomex, meeting ASTM D6413 flame resistance and NFPA 1971-07 thermal heat resistance standards, and Kevlar thread construction reinforces the seams throughout. A Wide-Fit closure secures the glove at the wrist, removable trigger finger seams cut down on fraying, and a nylon pull loop keeps the pair together. Machine washable.
