Sierra's ProHunter 6.5mm/.264 120 grain Spitzer bullet (part number 1720) is a flat-base hunting projectile designed for reliable expansion and accurate performance on medium game at longer ranges. The classic Spitzer profile gives a good ballistic coefficient for a flat-base bullet — verified at 0.356 G1 — and the bullet has a diameter of 0.264 inches with an overall length of 1.079 inches. It is well-suited to smaller-capacity 6.5mm cartridges as an all-round load, and also performs well from larger cases such as the .264 Winchester Magnum and the 6.5x284 at extended ranges. Due to the relatively thin jacket construction for rapid expansion, close-range shots from high-velocity loads should be avoided to prevent premature break-up. Supplied in a box of 100 component bullets for hand-loading.
