The Sierra Varminter #2110 is a .308" diameter, 110-grain hollow point component bullet supplied in a box of 100, designed specifically for varmint and vermin control with centrefire rifles. These are reloading components — not loaded ammunition. Sierra constructs these bullets lightly to deliver explosive, rapid expansion on impact, while the hollow point profile helps to minimise the risk of ricochets — an important consideration when shooting over farmland or near livestock. At 110 grains, these are the heaviest bullets in Sierra's Varminter range for .30 calibre, yet they remain compatible with the high velocities generated by standard and magnum 30-calibre chamberings. Handloaders have found them to be exceptionally consistent from round to round, and they have a following in Hunter Benchrest competition circles. The ballistic coefficient of 0.144 and sectional density of 0.166 reflect their lightweight, fast-expanding design rather than long-range retention. Non-coated, no cannelure, flat-base construction.
