  • Finished with the Swanndri brand patch — a genuine bush-country wool anorak for stalking, dog work and cold-weather fieldwork

The Swanndri Reidston Wool Anorak is a classic bush anorak built from the brand's most technical wool fabric and lining, made to work as hard as it looks. A 100% wool outer at 345gsm is backed by a two-layer technical lining rated 5k/8k, giving genuine wind and water resistance for a day on the hill or in the kennels rather than just a country-pub look. It pulls on anorak-style with a YKK half-zip front, so it layers easily over a base layer, and an adjustable three-piece hood keeps driving rain and wind off without restricting vision. Large kangaroo-style hand-warmer pockets sit up front, with a further zipped chest pocket and two zip hand pockets for keys, a phone or a compass. Side zips at the hem make it quick to get in and out of, even over boots or gaiters, and button cuffs seal the wrist against the weather. Finished with the signature Swanndri brand patch, in plain Olive it is a genuinely useful piece of cold-weather stalking and fieldwork kit.

Swanndri

Living the outdoors every day, Since 1913.

With over 100 years of history in the rugged New Zealand outdoors, the iconic Swanndri brand consistently produces rugged, functional hunting clothing that keep you warm and comfortable no matter the weather.

Founded in 1913 by William Broome who produced a wool ‘bush shirt.’ Although Broome was a tailor, he noticed that farmers and forestry workers of the time were not equipped for the tough conditions of Taranaki winters, and that’s what inspired him to create the first Swanndri bush shirt or “Swanni”. The first bush shirt, had a collar and short sleeves and was treated with a secret formula which made the water roll of the back of the garment like water did off a Swan, and hence the name, Swanndri.

Now the same design philosophy has been applied with other modern material like fleece to round out an outstanding collection of shooting and stalking clothing for any job outdoors.
