The Vortex Crossfire HD 1-4x24 is a compact low-power variable riflescope built for close- to mid-range hunting, where a quick sight picture matters more than raw magnification. Set on 1x it works almost like an open sight for running or driven game in woodland or on a boar drive; wind the power ring up to 4x and it holds its own at longer stalking distances. The second focal plane Illuminated Dead-Hold 2A BDC (MOA) reticle carries a floating illuminated centre dot for fast, precise aiming as light fades, backed by holdover and windage marks for estimating range without fiddling with turrets mid-stalk. Vortex's HD optical system and fully multi-coated lenses keep the image bright and colour-true edge to edge, and the fast-focus eyepiece lets you dial reticle focus in seconds. Built from a single block of aircraft-grade aluminium with a low-glare matte anodised finish, it's waterproof, fogproof and shockproof, and mounted on a 30mm tube for a firm, repeatable zero.
