The Vortex Crossfire HD 1.5-5.5x32 Scout is built around genuinely long eye relief rather than raw reach, making it equally at home forward-mounted on a scout-configuration rifle or on a large-frame handgun. At 1.5x eye relief runs to a generous 24.0 inches, dropping to a still-comfortable 13.0 inches at full 5.5x power, so the shooter keeps both eyes open and a wide field of view for fast snap shots at close range in cover, with enough magnification in hand for a more considered shot further out. The second focal plane Illuminated Dead-Hold 2A BDC (MOA) reticle adds a floating illuminated centre dot for quick, precise aiming as light drops, plus holdover and windage references for judging range on the move. Vortex's HD optical system and fully multi-coated lenses deliver a bright, colour-true image, and the fast-focus eyepiece dials reticle sharpness in seconds. Housed in a single block of aircraft-grade aluminium on a 1 inch tube with a low-glare matte anodised finish, it's fully waterproof, fogproof and shockproof, and carries Vortex's VIP lifetime warranty.
