The Vortex Sport Riflescope Ring in 1-inch Medium is a two-piece mounting ring for standard 1-inch tube riflescopes fitted to Picatinny or Weaver-style rails. The Medium height places the centre of the scope at 0.90 inches above the rail, striking a balance between objective-lens clearance and a comfortable cheek weld — a practical height for the majority of hunting and stalking rifles. Machined from 6061 aluminium and given a Type 2 low-glare matte black anodised finish, these rings deliver a corrosion-resistant grip well suited to use in the British countryside. An integrated recoil lug engages the rail cross-slot, mechanically locking the mount against forward shift under centrefire recoil. Torque values are laser-engraved directly onto the ring body — 15–18 in-lbs for T-25 Torx cap screws and 30 in-lbs for base screws — removing any uncertainty about correct tightening. This kind of defined torque range prevents both under-clamping and over-clamping. The set includes two rings, a T-25 Torx wrench and two spare T-25 screws.
